NJ Martin Mba Ayuk - Chief Executive Officer
NJ Ayuk is recognized as one of the foremost figures in African business today. A well-known dealmaker in the petroleum and power sectors and founder of a leading energy focused law firm, NJ is dedicating his career to helping African entrepreneurs find success and to building the careers of emerging African talent.
As Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, he strives through his work to ensure that business, and especially oil and gas, impacts African societies in a positive way and drives local content development.
He is the author of “Big Barrels: African Oil and Gas and the Quest for Prosperity” and “Billions At Play: The Future of African Energy and Doing Deals” and “A Just Transition: Making Energy Poverty History with an Energy Mix”
NJ Ayuk graduated from the University of Maryland College Park and earned a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.
Sebastian Wagner - Executive Board Member
Sebastian Wagner established his career in the African energy & finance industries. He worked at multinational energy trading firm Trafigura in Switzerland. Prior to this, was a portfolio manager at ADC African Development Corp. AG, where he was based in Equatorial Guinea and Kenya. He is a graduate of IFP School in Paris, France.
Strayson Vermeulen - Chief Financial Officer
In addition to her specialization in International Business, Strayson Vermeulen has significant experience in Finance and Accounting, Assets Evaluation, Financial Analysis, Law Practice Development, Project Financing and Telecommunications. Prior to joining Calvert, she worked in a plethora of roles, including Group Accountant, Senior Accountant, Property Manager, and Operations Manager at Vodacom Business.
Jessica Stang - Investor Relations
Jessica Stang is a graduate of the Technical University of Berlin and has a high level of international expertise through work and life experiences in countries such as Rwanda, Namibia, South Africa and Portugal. Prior to her role she amassed a wealth of experience in the advisory and energy sector.

Florian Stahl - Chairperson of the Supervisory Board
Florian Stahl has a long standing experience in German capital markets, especially in regard to Africa. He gained expertise as an in-house Counsel of ADC African Development Corp. AG during its IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2010. His professional focus is in the areas of public takeovers, corporate financing and IPOs.
Kerstin Spiegelsberger - Deputy Chairperson of the Supervisory Board
Kerstin Spiegelsberger has several years of experience in the banking sector (especially corporate finance) and in management consulting (HR & IT infrastructure) Currently she is working for a Franco-German banking group.
Verner Ayukegba - Member of the Supervisory Board
Verner Ayukegba has over 15 years of professional experience acquired predominantly in banking and energy with significant exposure to sub-Saharan Africa. Currently he is Senior Vice President of the African Energy Chamber.
